wtf, anyone remember the trademark case b/w SFLC and SFC?

SFC had failed to seek a summary judgment twice, before SFLC even filed opposition. The first was procedurally moot, the second has been asked for a reconsideration.

Meanwhile the proceeding continues, so on Apr 9 2019 (this week!) SFC moved to amend a counterclaim to invalidate SFLC's trademark, on the ground that SFLC sought to enforce "software freedom“, which is a generic term.
